L-BERNIER BLANC DE BLANCS 1ER CRU
From the most promising premier cru village of Vertus, this organic Chardonnay is more like a Chablis 1er Cru with very fine bubbles than any bubbly. Made for gastronomy it is yeasty, then bready and has notes of bruised apples, ripe peach and apricot and I would serve it at 12C this wine which is very mineral. The palate is chalky, round and offers flavours of ripe fruits, and has a bit of nuttiness but very fresh. To enhance the minerality experience I will suggest a dish of Poached Turbot, Scallops and Chive Beurre Blanc.
